Configuring
mail forwarding by using only a Contact object In some situations a mail administrator
may need to forward E-mails addressed to a recipient in his company to an external
address. The conventional solution for this is to create a mailbox enabled user and
a contact with the recipients external address and then to configure the mailbox to
forward the mail to the address specified by the contact. This solution may collide
with security policies that do not allow the creation of a mailbox enabled user for
this task(this may allow the user to logon to the network). To solve the problem a
mail administrator can create a contact for the external recipient that has two E-mail
addresses:The primary address would be the external addressThe secondary address would
be the internal address When an E-mail is sent to the internal address Exchange will
forward it to the external address.
