I’ve complained before about not being able to find the integration module installation
for allowing IBM Director to be integrated into SMS. There is a link on IBM’s site
to download what they refer to as the Upward
Integration Module (UIM) for IBM Director 4.20. I’m not sure if it has been available
all along or if I just wasn’t able to find it on their site. It allows integration
into Tivoli, HP Openview and SMS. The catch is that it is only for SMS 2.0. More confusing
is the fact that the newest
version, 4.20.2, does not have SMS listed for integration.
I have heard from IBM unofficially that an SMS 2003 module is in development, but
there is no official release date or information available.
